After you create a Link Protector, you can view traffic, monitor block rates, and adjust settings from the Overview tab in the dtect Dashboard. This article explains how to review performance, edit settings, and manage permissions.
Viewing and Monitoring Activity
Each Link Protector has its own detail page for ongoing management and analysis.
View total participants, block rate, and traffic breakdown in the Overview tab.
From this view, you can:
See total participants, blocks, and block rate.
Export participation data for reporting.
Projects can be paused or re-enabled at any time.
Understanding Session Outcomes
Every time a participant clicks the entry link and selects "I agree," Link Protector creates a new session. Sessions are billed once the participant agrees, even if the page is closed before checks complete.
Sessions can have one of three outcomes:
- Allowed: participant passed all checks and reached the protected link.
- Blocked: participant failed one or more checks.
- Dropped: participant clicked I agree but left before checks completed.
All outcomes appear in exports and count toward Total Participants.
Overview
The Overview tab provides a snapshot of your Link Protector’s performance, including total participants, number and percentage of blocks, and a breakdown of block reasons.
From this view, you can:
Track overall participation and block rate.
Export participation data for reporting.
Pause or resume traffic at any time.
Links
The Links tab lists all URLs associated with your project, including:
Entry Link – The link shared with participants to start security checks.
Protected Link – The destination for participants who pass validation.
Termination Link – The page where participants who fail checks are redirected.
You can copy or edit links at any time after a project is live to match your project setup.
Security
The Security tab displays all available protection options. You can enable or disable specific checks, such as deduplication, AI or automation detection, and suspicious user signals. Adjusting these settings allows you to fine-tune your protection level for each project.
Settings
The Settings tab includes controls to rename your Link Protector, update links, and manage termination page preferences.
It also includes Test Mode, which lets you validate your setup before going live. When Test Mode is enabled, all traffic is allowed through while failed checks are highlighted in reports. Use this mode to confirm redirects, detection triggers, and reporting accuracy before enabling full protection.
