You can create a new Link Protector in minutes directly from the dtect Dashboard. This setup process does not require any supplier configuration and works with any survey, form, or landing page URL.
Accessing Link Protectors
Log in to your dtect Dashboard and select Link Protectors from the top navigation bar.
This dashboard allows you to view, filter, and create new protectors.
Setup
Creating a new Link Protector takes less than a minute:
-
Log in to your dtect Dashboard.
The Link Protectors dashboard allows you to view, filter, and create new protectors.
-
Go to Link Protectors and select Create Protector.
-
Enter the following details:
Name – For internal tracking.
Protected Link – The destination URL, such as your survey.
-
Termination Link – The page where failed participants will be sent.
-
If not provided, dtect uses a default termination page:
https://link.dtect.io/terminate
-
Provide a name, protected link, and choose your termination link option.
-
Select the security features you want to enable.
Customize Security Features provides granular control to enable or disable individual fraud detection checks. Link Protector uses the same security checks as the dtect API. Each check analyzes visitor behavior or system data to detect risk factors such as duplicate devices, VPN use, automation, or AI-generated responses.
For a detailed explanation of each signal, see the Risk Signals Reference Table in the Understanding Security Features in Link Protector article Click Create Link Protector to generate your entry link.
Your new entry link will look like this:
https://link.dtect.io/entry/<link-protector-id>?id=<participant_id>The participant_id is optional. If none is provided, dtect still performs all standard checks and ignores duplicate ID rules.
